The cost of the GAP Insurance policy is $599, but it DOES NOT increase your down payment or monthly payment amount. We roll it into the loan for you. GAP Insurance pays the difference in what your insurance company pays and what is owed on your account in the event of a total loss. This protects you from potentially owing thousands of dollars in the event the insurance settlement does not payoff your loan. For example: If your accident is declared a total loss, the insurance company pays $7,500 for the car, but you owe $10,000.
